Working to help you directly

Explore our website to use a number of easy-to-use tools and information pages. They’re designed so you can quickly work out where you might get help.

  • Use our Benefits Calculator to find out what welfare benefits, tax credits and other support you may be entitled to based on your situation 

  • Use our Grant Search to find out if you may be eligible for financial help or support from a charitable fund. We’ve over 3,000 of these funds on our database, and the tool will make it easy to find the right one for you.

  • Make it personal to you by registering for a ‘My Turn2us’ account which allows you to make confidential enquiries and applications directly to grant –giving charities that our Grants Search pinpointed for you. 

  • Find more information and resources on our website to help you learn more about welfare benefits, grants and managing money.

Charitable grants

Use our Grants Search tool, which will allow you to look through 3,000 charitable funds across the country, to find out if you might be eligible for support. We also give direct help through a range of funds administered directly by the charity including the Elizabeth Finn Fund and the Edinburgh Trust.

Intermediaries

If you are an intermediary – one of the thousands of advisers, welfare officers, support workers and volunteer home visitors who have regular face-to-face contact with people in financial need – we can help you find the right resources to support the people you are working with. You can also store individuals’ details and applications in your confidential Turn2us intermediary account, enabling you to access and update files as you need to.

Charitable funds

If you’re a charity that awards grants you can use our service to help you get through to those in need, especially those who are hard to reach. Our flexible system allows you to tailor your charity’s details and update them to suit your needs.

Enquiries and applications can be accepted online or directly through the Turn2us website. You can also access lists of everyone who has applied to you via Turn2us and check the current status of any requests for help.

Not everyone has access to the internet so our support is also available through our free helpline on 0808 802 2000 9am-8pm, Monday – Friday. Our team can help you access all the support found on our website. Calls are free from landlines and major mobile network providers. Please check with your provider before calling.
