Building Capacity and Cooperation - 12th February 2008

The Association of Charitable Officers and turn2us have been working closely together to develop, coordinate and promote services that aim to support grant giving charities in their work.

In October 2007 turn2us launched its first service, this website, which enables people to access information on grants and benefits in one place. The ACO has been closely involved in this development, as a member of the project steering group. Information about ACO member charities displayed on the ACO website will now also appear on the turn2us website.

“Building Capacity and Cooperation”  was held on 12th February 2008, at the British Bankers Association in Old Broad Street, London.  Delegates from 60 organisations joined us. Presentations were given by peer charities that are using innovative methods and technologies to reach and support more people in need in the UK.  Following the presentations, delegates entered into lively debates and workshop sessions.  We are very grateful to Sandra Dane and her staff at the British Bankers Association for their contribution to a very successful day.

Delegates were also invited to join a panel which will guide future turn2us developments.  Our thanks to all those who agreed to participate - we look forward to working with you.
