Save the Children have extended their partnership with Turn2us to deliver the Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play! helpline to December 2013. Eat, Sleep, Learn, Play! is a grant programme designed to support children and families in the most desperate financial need. By running the helpline, Turn2us has enabled Save the Children to award 1,375 grants since October 2011.

We are delighted to announce that Turn2us has been shortlisted for the Nominet Internet Awards in the 'Charitable or not-for-profit work online' category.

Our team of associate trainers play a vital role in our work. By training front-line workers and volunteers, they help us assist more people in financial need, using the Turn2us tools and resources. We are currently recruiting more associate trainers in Scotland, Somerset and Bristol.

This month's Ask an Expert session focuses on Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). You can submit your questions between 20-27 June. Answers to a selection of those received will be published on the Turn2us website in the second week of July.

Around 5.5 million UK households are currently living in fuel poverty and many people have had to resort to drastic measures, such as skipping meals, to pay their energy bills. Following on the success of last year's Fuel Poverty Campaign, a second is planned for October this year, focusing in particular on workers on low incomes.
