MP for Ceredigion, Mark Williams (pictured), showed his support for a new programme of Turn2Us workshops in Wales when he turned up at a recent session in Cardigan to find out more about Turn2us and how it can help people in financial need and the intermediaries who work with them.
The workshops, which were made possible by a grant from the Cardiff Millennium Stadium Charitable Fund, have been met with huge demand. Initial sessions, held last November, attracted a wide range of intermediaries including support staff working in housing; childcare; and as general advisers for voluntary sector organisations in Wales.
Pat Cripps, National Officer for Wales, said, “This clearly shows the level of interest and need for access to this type of training and support by intermediaries working in rural areas of Wales.”
