Partnership with Entitledto breaks records at Turn2us

The launch of the partnership between Turn2us and the supplier of our benefit checker, Entitledto, has resulted in a huge rise in the number of completed benefit calculations processed by the website – breaking all previous records.

Setting a new record for the number of benefit calculations completed through the website, 180,054 assessments were completed in January of this year. More people used the website to check their potential entitlement to mean-tested benefits in a single month than the entire previous financial year.

The partnership, launched in December 2009, saw Turn2us become the public face of the Entitledto online benefits checker. It also allowed Turn2us to work with Entitledto to deliver considerable improvements to the Benefits Checker itself.

Following an independent review by Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), commissioned by Turn2us, calculation metrics within the system have been updated to ensure accuracy. A full overhaul of incidental help pages throughout the system has also been conducted by Citizens Advice to ensure helpful advice and support is available in plain English throughout the process.

In March Turn2us plans to unveil further improvements in the Benefit Checker’s functionality aimed at intermediary users.
