Disadvantaged children: - Turn2us

Disadvantaged children are to receive extra funding to help them with their educational needs, the Government has announced.

The pupil premium, which aims to raise achievement among disadvantaged pupils will start from September 2011. It will provide additional funding per pupil on top of the existing funding provided to schools. They will be free to spend the additional funding as they choose to raise the achievement of disadvantaged school children.
