Job entry payments to be phased out - Turn2us

Lord Freud, Minister for Welfare Reform, announced on 12 July 2012 that three job entry payments are to be phased out in readiness for the introduction of Universal Credit.

• Job Grant payments will end from April 2013
• No new In-Work Credit or Return-to-Work Credit payments will be made from October 2013

Payments in progress at the start of October 2013 will continue until completion or a change of circumstances that brings the payment to an end.

Universal Credit will provide in-work incentives to everyone rather than the specific groups who are eligible for the three existing payments.
