the changes, has been published by London Councils.
The Tracking Welfare Reform: The changing role of local
authorities report (link opens in a new window PDF file size
1.24mb), indicates that up to half a million Londoners will be
affected by the various reforms due to come into effect this year.

Executive Member for Housing said: “While we recognise the need to
reform benefits, councils across London have concerns about the
speed these are being implemented and the effect on families of so
many changes taking place at once. I want to see London treated as
a special case as the process moves forward.”
