Turn2us is working in partnership with Turning Point, a leading UK health and social care charity, to deliver our e-learning and free online tools to their project/support workers across the UK.
Turning Point provides services for people with complex needs, including those affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health problems or a learning disability. These are individuals who are often isolated and unable to access the help that may be available to them through welfare benefits and charitable grants, so getting the Turn2us services to them is vitally important.
Through this joint initiative, Turning Point project workers are using e-learning resources to familiarise themselves with the Turn2us Benefits Checker, Grants Search database and Find an Adviser tool help service users and their families/carers gain access to the financial help that may be available to them.
The service is currently being piloted in selected services across England. Its success will be fully evaluated before being offered to more Turning Point services.
