Pupils who attend a county secondary school in Glamorgan and female pupils who attend a maintained primary schools in the parishes of Llantrisant, Pontypridd, Pentyrch, Llanfabon, Llantwit Fardre, Eglwysilan and that part of the parish of Llanwonn
(i) Pupils who have for not less than two years at any time attended a county secondary school in the area of the former administrative county of Glamorgan (or Howell's Glamorgan County School, Cardiff, provided that the candidates attending the said school have lived in the former administrative county of Glamorgan for at least two years while a pupil at the school).
(ii) Female pupils who, in addition, have for not less than two years at any time attended any maintained primary school in the parishes of Llantrisant, Pontypridd, Pentyrch, Llanfabon, Llantwit Fardre, Eglwysilan and that part of the parish of Llanwonno comprising the former Ynysybwl ward of the former Mountain Ash urban district. There is a preference for such girls who while in attendance at any such school lived in the parish of Eglwysilan.

Type of grants
(a) Cash grants tenable at any Teacher training college, university or other institution of further education (including professional and technical) approved by the council and governed by rules made by the council.
(b) Financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to assist those leaving school, university or other educational establishments to prepare for or enter a profession, trade or calling.
