Applicants must be living in Glasgow or the West of Scotland. People over 18 years of age in financial need who are suffering from incurable diseases and are living at home may be eligible for a grant.

Applications must be made through a social worker, citizens advice or other welfare agency. Forms are available from the Association. Applications are considered quarterly with deadlines 14 days prior to each meeting. A GP must also confirm the medical condition.

People who are in dire need of financial assistant, especially low income earners, people on benefit, disabled or disadvantaged can apply for a grant from the Attlee Foundation's 'Tickets Please' project.

Social workers or care professionals must apply for this grant on behalf of the individual. The application form can be downloaded from the website or you can ask for one from the Foundation.Also the grant if approved, will be written in the Account name of the sponsor's organisational and NOT on individual name.

People who are sick, disabled or recovering from an illness or injury, may be eligible for a one-off grant. Preference is given to those with professional, secretarial or administrative qualifications and experience.

Write to the Trust for an application form, or download one from its website. Forms should be submitted by a health or social care professional, Occupational Therapist or another charity.

We support individuals of any age who are suffering from severe poverty and financial hardship, who have ongoing medical problems or have fled domestic situations.  

Applications must be made by letter, with a supporting letter from a medical or welfare professional if possible. Applications should include full financial information including income and expenditure. Alternatively, please send an email to hakf50@hotmail.com.

People who are in need and live in England can apply for a grant. Hunt and Almshouse Charities have a number of small trusts, each of which has different eligibility criteria. Applicants must usually receive state pension or be disabled and receiving statutory benefit.

To apply contact Hunt and Almshouse Charities who will provide an application form. Applications must be submitted through a citizens advice bureau or another welfare agency. You will need to give full details of your financial circumstances.

The Lady Forester Trust supports people who live in Shropshire who are sick, disabled, convalescent or infirm.

Applications can be made on a form available from the Trust and should be made through a doctor, or in exceptional circumstances, through social services.

People who are poor and either sick or disabled, live in Greater Merseyside and who are in need can apply for a grant.

To apply you will need to get a form from LCVS or the Community Nursing Services of Merseyside Health Districts, via district nurses, health visitors or through a social worker. An initial telephone call to the Association to discuss eligibility and needs is welcomed. Applications are considered all year round.

People with disabilities that affect their mobility can apply to the Trust for help.

Write a letter to the Trust, giving full details of your disabilities, resons for requiring a powered wheelchair or scooter and the difference it would make to your life. If the Trust thinks that it may be able to help you, it will then ask you to complete an application form. An assessment will have to be arranged and the type of equipment will be prescribed by an Occupational Therapist or equivalent professional person.

You can apply to the Charity for financial assistance if you are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm and you live in the former North Riding of Yorkshire. This area now includes the counties of Durham and North Yorkshire and the unitary authorities of Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and York.

Contact the Charity for an application form. Applications should be submitted either through a social worker or welfare agency. Applications are considered in March, June, September and December and should be received at least a week in advance.
