People who are in need and are living in the Sussex area can apply to the Charity for financial help. Priority may be given to older people and disadvantaged children.
Applications should be made in writing to the Appeal.
The Fund can provide grants to Jewish people living in London, who are sick or disabled. Preference is given to older people.
Applications should be made in writing to the Fund at any time. They can be submitted directly by the individual or through a social worker, citizens advice bureau or other welfare agency.
Grants are given to people who have arthritis or rheumatism, or elderly or isolated Scottish or French people who live in the UK.
You should contact the Charities Aid Foundation through a social worker or a welfare charity. Applications are considered in February, May, September and November.
People over 60 years old who are not eligible for statutory support and have savings of under £2,500 (£3,500 for couples) can apply for a grant.
To apply contact Counsel and Care who will provide an application form. Forms can also be downloaded from the website. Applications can be submitted either directly by the individual or through a social worker, welfare agency, citizens advice or another third party - but must be endorsed by a professional working with the individual.

The Craigcrook Mortification supports people in need over the age of 60 who were born in Scotland and have lived there for most of their lives.
Applications should be sent in writing to the fund and be supported by a member of the clergy.

Single women, including widows, who are over 50 years old and are in need, can apply for financial assistance to the Trust.
Application forms are available from the Trust. An application form will be sent to individuals who meet the criteria on request.

People aged over 55 who live in East or West Sussex can apply to the Foundation for help in times of need. Preference will be given to applications from the Brighton and Hove area.
Applications should be made on a form available from the Institution. Completed applications can be submitted by the individual or by a third party such as a social worker, welfare agency or Citizens Advice Bureau.

People who are sick, poor or elderly can apply for assistance if they are living in permanent accommodation in one of the following areas: Central, South and East Reading, Earley, Lower Earley, Sonning, Winnersh and Shinfield. They will need to have been living in this area for at least 6 months.
Individuals can apply directly, but they must be supported by a professional who knows the circumstances.

People in need over the age of 55 who are unable to work (certified on medical grounds) and who live in Edinburgh or Midlothian are eligible to apply.
Grant application forms can be obtained from the Edinburgh Merchant Company Endowment Trust. Applications can be submitted at any time either directly by the individual, through a third party such as a social worker, or through an organisation such as a citizens advice bureau or other welfare agency.
