People in need who are incapable of gaining a livelihood may be eligible for a grant.

Grant application forms can be obtained from the Airth Benefaction Trust. Completed applications should be submitted either directly by the individual or through a third party such as a social worker. Applications should be submitted by the end of September for consideration in December. Beneficiaries are invited to reapply each year.

People who live in East or West Sussex can apply to the Trust for help in times of need.

Applications should be made in writing to the Trust by a third party such as a social worker, citizens advice bureau or welfare agency. Applications must include the name of the person for whom the cheque is to be made out.

The Biggart Trust provides help to people in need, with preference for people related to the founders and their descendants.

Applications should be sent in writing directly to the Trust. You will generally need to have the support of a professional such as a social worker.

Individuals in need who live in Lancashire (pre-1974 boundaries, including Manchester and Liverpool) can apply for a grant.

To apply contact the Charity by telephone and ask for an application form. You will need to provide full details of your income and expenditure. Applications should be returned with an SAE by a social worker, citizens advice or other welfare agency. Applications are considered quarterly, around January, April, July and October.

People in need who live in the Edinburgh and Lothians area may be eligible for a grant.

Application forms are available from the Lothian Regional Council Social Work Departments and other responsible bodies who forward them to the Capital Charitable Trust. Applications are not accepted directly from the individual.

People who are in need of clothing in England and Wales can apply to the Guild for help in times of hardship regardless of their religious denomination.

Applications to the Guild should be submitted by a recognised third party such as a welfare agency, social services or a member of the clergy. Applications received directly from the individual will not be considered.

People who were born in, or have lived in Kent for a significant period of time can apply to the Fund for help in times of need.

Applications should be made on a form which is available from the Fund. They should include as much detail as possible about the applicant. Completed applications can be submitted either by the individual or by a third party such as a social worker, welfare agency or citizens advice bureau.

People resident in the south of Islington who are in financial hardship may apply for assistance. Applicants can apply direct to the Foundation on an application form or can be referred by an agency or third party.
