Baron Davenport's Charity supports needy widows, spinsters and divorcees aged 60 and over, ladies abandoned by their partners and their children, and people under 25 whose fathers are dead. Applicants must live in either the West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire or Worcestershire.

The Charity provides recurrent grants typically of £180 to £220 a year, paid half yearly. In very special circumstances one-off grants of up to £250 are given for various needs.

Applications should be made through a local authority Social Services department or recognised welfare agency. Direct applications from applicants will also be considered. Application forms are available from the Charity Administrator.
