Poor people who are in need and have lived in the ancient parish of Cranborne (which includes the present parishes of Cranborne-cum-Boveridge, Wimborne St Giles, Alderholt, Verwood, Ferndown, West Parley and Edmondsham) for at least two years.
People in need who live outside the beneficial area may also be supported in exceptional circumstances.
Type of grants
Pensions of £500 per annum. One-off grants ranging from £100 to £500.
Applications
In writing to the correspondent, submitted directly by the individual, through a third party such as a social worker or through an organisation such as a Citizens Advice or other welfare agency. Applications are considered throughout the year and should contain details of the individual's annual income and capital, detail of need, age and occupation.
