In writing to the correspondent giving brief details of income and outgoings of the applicant's parent/guardian and a description of the child's need. Applications should be made preferably through a social worker, Citizens Advice or other welfare agency but can also be made directly by the individual or through another third party. They are considered on an ongoing basis.

The fund occasionally gives to charities/organisations that support such children.
