Exclusions

Grants are not made where the funding is the responsibility of central or local government, whether or not the individual has taken up such provision.

Type of grants

Grants are typically between £25 and £650 for an educational need. Except in cases of financial hardship, grants will not normally exceed half the cost of any activity. Trustees prefer not to enter into extended commitments, but will look favourably on repeat applications on an annual basis for extended periods of study.

Applications

Preferably on an application form, available from the correspondent. The application form covers the essential information required, and the trustees will ask for further details if necessary. Applications can be made at any time, either directly by the individual, or by a third party on their behalf, such as parent/guardian, teacher or tutor, or through an organisation such as Citizens Advice or a school. They can be submitted at any time.

Other information

The trust gives priority to educational grants. At the trustees' discretion, any surplus income may be applied for other charitable purposes but only within the parish.
