A free guide for students with disabilities who are thinking about studying in higher education. It is published by the Disability Alliance.

An e-teaching organisation offering courses to help people learn skills they need for jobs, including literacy and maths.

Free careers and job information/advice for people living in Scotland.

National Careers Service (link opens in a new window)

Government website that provides information and advice to support adults living in England in making appropriate decisions on work or learning.

Potential 4 Skills (link opens in a new window)

Adult training provider which offers free learning packages to unemployed people aged over19 who are receiving benefits. The courses help them gain skills and qualifications to get them back into employment.

The Scholarship Hub (link opens in a new window)

Social enterprise offering a resource for students to find scholarships, grants and bursaries for higher education.

Ucas (link opens in a new window)

The organisation responsible for managing applications to higher education courses in the UK. Website has information and online tools to make it easier for students and higher education institutions (HEIs) to manage applications and offers of university places.

Online advice tool to help single parents work out how their financial situation, especially in relation to benefits.

UNIAID is an independent charity set up to help students cope with financial barriers to higher education. They have free online tools to help students.

Teacher Support Network provides specialist emotional support to trainee, serving and retired teachers in England, Scotland and Wales through their free 24 hour, 7 days a week telephone support line and online services.
