How much does it pay?
You will automatically be sent £25.00 for each period of cold
weather between 1 November and 31 March each year.
A Cold Weather Payment does not affect any other benefit you

How do I make claim?
If you qualify for Cold Weather Payments, you will automatically
be sent the money. You do not need to claim it. Tell your

Challenging a decision
If you disagree with the decision made on your claim you
can ask for it to be looked at again, and/or appeal.
The time limits are strict, you will usually be given one
month to dispute a decision, so it is important to seek advice and
act quickly.
