Pension Credit is made up of two parts, Guarantee Credit and Savings Credit. The Pension Credit qualifying age determines at what age you can claim the Guarantee Credit element, you have to be aged 65 or over to claim the Savings Credit element.
The Pension Credit qualifying age for both men and women is based on the current state pension age for women.
Women reach Pension Credit age when they reach state pension age.
Men reach Pension Credit age when they reach the state pension age of a woman with the same date of birth as them.
You can work out your state pension and Pension Credit age by using the state pension age calculator on the Government's Gov.UK website (link opens in a new window)
