Ensuring quality

New trainers are invited to attend a workshop as a participant as a first step to learning the material and understanding the range of needs and backgrounds of the intermediaries we train. The next step is to co-train with an experienced trainer and receive feedback. Our ‘Keeping in Touch’ meetings with trainers continue on a regular basis as invaluable opportunities to meet together, provide updates about service enhancements and identify any needs for further support.

An associate trainer’s view

One such associate trainer is Alison Maynard, from Worcestershire, who has been working with Turn2us for over three years - alongside her work as a creative writing tutor and writer.

“Training groups for Turn2us is hugely rewarding. You're playing a part in empowering individuals towards greater financial knowledge, and offering steps towards accessing much needed financial help.”

Alison has run many workshops in England since she started working for us. “The feedback from workshop attendees is overwhelmingly positive, and it's fantastic to see light bulbs come on all around a group of participants as they realise the practical applications of the Turn2Us tools.”
