Julia Chomanicz, from Stoke-on-Trent, raised hundreds of pounds for poverty charity Turn2us at a fashion show that she held in Smallthorne this week. There was a huge turn out at the Victory Working Men's Club, where the show took place.

Turn2us has praised Julia for her hard work and creativity in organising the event and said that the money raised will help those who are struggling to make ends meet.

Julia, who is from Norton Heights, will continue to fundraise for Turn2us and is now in training for the London Marathon which she will run in support of the charity. Speaking after the fashion show, she said:

“I would like to thank everyone who supported me on the run up to the event and on the night. We had so much fun and the fact we raised over £400 for Turn2us is a massive privilege.”

Thanking Julia for supporting the charity and praising her for organising such a successful event, Namita Harvey, Head of Fundraising at Turn2us, said:

“The fashion show was fantastic and the money raised will help those who are struggling. We are so grateful for Julia’s support and the energy she puts into helping the charity. She is inspirational.”
