Profession: Aesthetician

Both Faye and her son had symptoms of the virus so she couldn't open her new aesthetics clinic. She had just left her previous job so she couldn’t be furloughed and she wasn’t eligible for financial support from the Government's self-employed scheme.

She applied for Universal Credit and has received some support from her landlord but she still has no income. Having looked online for help, she came across the Turn2us Coronavirus Grant Fund. Two hours after applying, she had the grant of £500 in her account. This enabled her to cover some of her rent and buy her a little time before she gets her first Universal Credit payment.

"I've invested all my savings in my new clinic but now I can’t even open. I still have to cover rent, bills and food but I’m not eligible for much Government support. I’m incredibly grateful that I came across the Turn2us Coronavirus Grant."
