We’ve come a long way since our foundation in 1897, but we always want to remember our roots.
It’s time to celebrate the thousands of people who have been part of our journey as a charity. If you or someone you know has memories of being involved in the Distressed Gentlefolk’s Aid Association, the DGAA Homelife or Elizabeth Finn Care, we would love you to join our Capturing History and Memories project and share your recollections, photos and stories online.
We want to hear about those who were involved with our charity in the past and from those who remember them.
Were you or someone you know ever one of our local supporters?
Have you, or a friend or relative, ever been helped by us?
Did you ever work or volunteer for our charity, or in one of our care homes?
Or did a relative or friend ever live in one of our care homes?
Have you ever been involved in our charity in any other way?
We’d love to learn more about your history with us, so we can put more recollections, photos and stories online.
If you can let us know more about who was involved, when, where and how – with dates, stories and photographs if you have them – or if you’d like to learn more about the project as it grows, please e-mail Zena.
