Schemes (Grants Search)

The Schemes section allows you to view and update any schemes attached to your profile. You can also add schemes.

Editing a scheme

Click 'Edit' against the scheme you want to edit. This will take you to a form that has all the information about the scheme on it. (See Screengrab below.)

This will take you to the 'Update scheme' form for the scheme. (See Screengrab below.)

The form is divided into an accordion containing several sections. (See Screengrab above.)

General information

  • Name

  • Description (Information about what you charitable fund does)

  • Metadata

  • Search results listing description (short summary of what your charitable fund does for the results page)

  • Status

  • Business type

  • Region

  • Award (how much you give in total in grants per year).

Description fields

  • Custom fund questions (If you opt to accept online enquiries through Turn2us, you can add up to three 'custom' questions to the Turn2us grant enquiry form).

  • Industries

  • Help given (overview of the type of help you give)

  • Personal details

  • Geographical data

  • Help offered (more detailed information about the purposes you give grants for): Please note: This field does not show on the Grants Search at present because it needs further development. Please include any information about the help you offer that you want Grants Search users to know in the description field.

Making a change

Click on the tab on the 'Update scheme' accordian that contains the information you want to update. This will open up the accordion to allow you to update. When you have updated everything you need to, click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page. You can also save as you go by clicking the 'Save' button at any time.

Custom fund fields (only for charities that accept online enquiries through Turn2us)

If you accept online enquiries through Turn2us, you can add up to three 'custom' questions to the Turn2us grant enquiry form in this section. If you are charity helping people who worked in a particular industry for example, you might want to know which company or sector they worked in. If you are a charity that helps members of a particular trade organisation or union, you might want to know what their membership number is.

To add questions in this field, click on the tab that says 'Custom fund questions'. (Screengrab below.)

An accordian will open out which allows you to add up to three questions relating to your fund. (Screengrab below.)

Add the first question in the Question 1 text box.

If you want it to be a 'required question' that the enquirer has to answer, tick the 'required question box'.

You can also choose what kind of text box you want to appear on the enquiry form:

  • Standard textbox - for questions that require a short answer (box one and three on the Screengrab below)

  • Multiline textbox - for questions that require a longer answer (box two on the Screengrab below).

Do the same for questions 2 and 3, if you want to add them. Then click 'Save' at the bottom of the form. (Screengrab below.)

The questions will then appear at the bottom of the Turn2us grant online enquiry form when someone wants to make an enquiry to your particular charity. (Screengrab below). The ones marked with an asterisk are 'required' so the person has to fill these in before submitting the form.

Adding a new scheme

You can also add a new scheme to your charity's/provider's profile if you need to.

Just click the 'Add new scheme' button.

This brings up a form for you to fill in. The sections are the same as for editing a scheme described above.

Fill in details of your scheme and then click 'Save'.
