Nightrider is a unique moonlit charity cycle ride past London’s iconic landmarks. Following a signposted route through the capital, highlights include: crossing Tower Bridge, riding through Canary Wharf, spinning around Piccadilly Circus, seeing the London Eye lit up and cycling over the famous crossing on Abbey Road.
Starting late on Saturday and finishing early on Sunday morning, you have a choice of two distances: the classic 100k route, or a new shorter 50k course. Both events start and finish at the Lee Valley VeloPark in East London. Cyclists depart in groups from 10.30 pm onwards. To enjoy this event, you need to be a confident cyclist and able to cycle in traffic.
In 2017, Nightrider are also running night cycle events in Bristol on 1-2 July and in Liverpool on 15-16 July, with both 100km and 50km options.
To take part in Nightrider, you will need to obtain your own place with the event organisers. For further information visit the Nightrider website
We'd love to have you on our team
When you've signed up, please let us know. We'd love you to join our cycling team and we can help you get your fundraising under way. Whatever you can raise for Turn2us will help people in the UK who are living in severe financial hardship.
As well as being a fantastic event in its own right, the timing of the London Nightrider cycle ride means that it is great preparation for cyclists doing the 100 mile Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 at the end of July.
