General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union (EU) law on data protection and privacy that came into force in May 2018.  It covers the collection and processing of personal data. The aim is to give individuals more control over the use of their personal data and unify data protection regulation across the EU.
