Swim Serpentine is back after an incredibly successful inaugural event in 2016. This new open water swimming event takes place in the heart of London in the Serpentine in Hyde Park - the stunning venue for the London 2012 Olympic open water swimming competition.

Swimmers in open water

Organised by the team behind the London Marathon, in 2016 over 4,000 swimmers took part in the first mass participation swim event over a mile-long course. For 2018 there will also be a longer two-mile course as well as shorter distances available. Waves of swimmers will set off at regular intervals throughout the day. Entrants must wear a wet-suit or a tow-float to take part - you will be able to hire these on the day if necessary. To find out more about this exciting event, visit the Swim Serpentine website
