Full state pension for carers and mothers who stay at home
From 2015,
mothers and carers who stay at home instead of working will receive
a full state pension when they retire. This has been announced
by the Work and Pensions Secretary, Iain Duncan Smith, as
part of reforms of the UK's retirement system.

(JRF) reveals the expected impact of changes in the structure of
employment, skills and pay on income inequality and poverty by
2020.

Benefits cap letters are being sent out
The Department for Work and Pensions
is starting to send out letters this week to households that may be
affected by the benefit cap which comes into effect in April
2013.
This will limit the amount of benefit couples and lone parent
households can receive to around £500 a week or £26,000 a year.
