Grant Search Officer (24 month, fixed term contract)

Do you want to help tackle UK poverty?

We’re looking for a Grant Search Officer who does.

  • Salary: £27000 per year

  • Type: 24 months, fixed term, full time, contract to July 2022

  • Location: Hammersmith, London, W6 (working from home during the coronavirus lockdown)

Unexpected illness, job loss or relationship breakdown can turn any of our lives upside down, leading to loss of income, loss of housing, and financial crisis for any of us and our families. More than 22% of us are currently in poverty, including a shameful 33% of all children.

That's why Turn2us, a national charity helping people when times get tough, is looking for a Grant Search Officer with a unique combination of energy, networking smarts and digital information management skills to supercharge our Grant Search Tool.

As part of a team of digital charity experts, you'll reach out, engage with and actively build collaborative relationships with givers of charitable grants, people who receive grants and organisations who support people in need of grants. You'll market and manage the Grant Search system and further develop Grant Search as an integrated part of Turn2us’ support for our users.

Turn2us give direct financial help through our own charitable grants. We highlight ways for people to increase their income through welfare benefits, charitable grants and other support, and signpost people on to other help and support through our Helpline, outreach and information programmes. We believe that no-one in the UK should live in poverty - we hope you feel the same.

Reporting to the Information Manager this role will also provide support to our warm referrals programme and collaborate closely with colleagues on the Grants, Impact Measurement and Communications teams in particular. This is a fixed term position for 2 years.
