Turn2us’ Chair Bill Colvin is retiring after completing two full terms as a trustee, the last 4 years of which have been spent as the charity’s Chair.

During this period, the charity has undergone significant change; completing a successful restructure and significantly extending its reach, as well as rebranding and launching a new and innovative grant fund.

Bill will be replaced as Chair by Sally O’Sullivan, who has been Deputy Chair since late 2013.

Simon Hopkins, Chief Executive of Turn2us, said: “Turn2us, and those we help, owe Bill a huge debt of gratitude. Under his leadership we have created a charity that is truly financially resilient, gets help to more people every year bringing genuine hope and comfort to countless individuals and families. His contribution to Turn2us’ transformation in recent years cannot be underestimated.

“We are delighted that Sally is taking over the reins. She and Bill have formed a wonderful partnership over the last four years - her insight and leadership remain cornerstones of the charity.”

Bill Colvin said: “It has been a challenging and rewarding few years working with a very pragmatic and dedicated charity. We are lucky to have such great supporters, volunteers and staff who continue to do great work across the country."

Sally O’Sullivan said: “I am honoured to become Chair at this exciting time in the charity's 120 year history. Turn2us has already helped to make life better for millions of people across the UK and Ireland and I look forward to seeing this exceptional work continue and grow in the years ahead.'”
