How the Turn2us Response Fund works

Who can apply?

Applications to the Turn2us Response Fund can only be made by our Turn2us Response Fund partner organisations – a selected group of charities and not-for-profit organisations, based across the UK.

Each referral partner has its own eligibility rules and processes for applying to the Turn2us Response Fund on behalf of people they work with. We are currently reviewing the partner organisations who we work with to support people experiencing a life-changing event. We have therefore removed the list from the website until it’s been updated.

What does the Turn2us Response Fund help with?

The Turn2us Response Fund supports people when they need it most - when they are coping with a life-changing event, such as:

  • Beginning to live with a disability
  • Bereavement – including funeral costs
  • Domestic abuse
  • Ill health or injury
  • Poor physical or mental wellbeing with a recent diagnosis of a health condition or disability
  • Reduced income through redundancy
  • Reduction in working hours due to ill-health or accident
  • Relationship breakdown
  • Unsafe, insecure or inappropriate housing arrangements
  • Other unexpected occurrences which impact severely on an individual’s quality of life.

The Fund gives targeted support to assist individuals to meet the challenges posed by a life-changing event which has happened in the last 12 months and help them to improve their situation. Grants are provided for specific needs which are essential to the financial stability, wellbeing and independence of the individual/family to help them to maintain normal daily living.

If you are an individual in need

Turn2us Response Fund referral partners are only able to make applications for people they are already working with. If you are not receiving support from one of our partners, please do not contact them with a request to make an application for you. As stated above, we are currently reviewing the partner organisations who we work with to support people experiencing a life-changing event. We have therefore removed the list from the website until it’s been updated.
