Good luck to the Turn2us Great North Run runners

Share

The 36th Great North Run - the largest half marathon in the world - is on Sunday, 11th September. Over 57,000 participants will be running the 13.1 mile course between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields, including Mo Farah looking to defend the title he’s won for the last two years. The race will be shown live on BBC1 from 09:30 - 13:30 with a highlights show on BBC2 from 1800-1900.

For the first time in this event, we will have runners representing us; Menno Faulkner from Positive, is running for Turn2us for the third time overall and his second run this season! Paul Audain, a taxi driver from Glasgow is competing for Turn2us for the first time, accompanied by fellow Glaswegian and running buddy Isaac McCleary.

Turn2us Head of Fundraising, Zena Carter said: ‘’Running 13.1 miles in this challenging event is a huge achievement. All our runners are Turn2us heroes and we are immensely proud of them, not only for competing but for fundraising to fight UK poverty too.”

Please support them and Turn2us:
