We have been made aware of scammers pretending to be Turn2us

Unfortunately Turn2us has been made aware that fraudsters are contacting people through ‘friends’ Facebook accounts saying they have won a ‘direct grant promotion’ from Turn2us.

This is not Turn2us. We are a national charity fighting UK poverty. We do not award prize money.

The scammers appear to have hacked Facebook profiles totally unassociated with Turn2us and then messaging their friends saying they were randomly selected to be a winner.

They then go on to ask people to email an address such as or

The picture below is an example of a scam attempt.

We would encourage anyone who has been contacted suspiciously to report the scam to Action Fraud.

You may also want to reach out to your Facebook friend via another means to tell them to change their password. You can also report the issue to Facebook by emailing
