"We are deeply disappointed that MPs have today voted for this Bill to proceed. None of us know what is around the corner and the halving of the health element of Universal Credit will mean people who become unwell in the years ahead are even more likely to be pulled into hardship.
"It is a relief that the government has listened and is waiting until the outcome of its review before it makes decisions about PIP eligibility. We welcome the promise that this will centre co-production with disabled people. This is a huge win for the disabled people, carers, families, MPs and supporters who bravely and passionately spoke out.
"However, the government has now removed any doubt that its proposed cuts are not thought-through. We urge them to drop the cuts to Universal Credit and work with our sector to deliver reforms that promote dignity, independence and genuine employment support."
