One in five of us in the UK are currently living in poverty: 14 million people. Disproportionally affected are the most vulnerable individuals and families in our communities, including:

  • 4.5 million children

  • One in three households in poverty that include someone with a disability or mental illness

  • Minority ethnic communities

  • Single mothers and those fleeing domestic abuse

  • Homeless people

  • Care leavers.

Turn2us exists to help people struggling to make ends meet.

We do this by:

  • Giving direct financial help through our own charitable grants
  • Supporting people to increase their income through benefits, grants and other support
  • Highlighting ways to reduce essential costs
  • Collaborating with specialist agencies and other organisations to help tackle the causes and symptoms of poverty.

The Fundraising Manager role

Our Fundraising Manager will be responsible for maximising income from existing supporters through direct marketing and relationship management.

You will lead on planned direct marketing appeals, building engaging supporter journeys and donor events.

Using bespoke written and face-to-face communications, you will build relationships with Turn2us supporters and secure their longer term commitment. You will also develop and deliver a mid-value donor programme through a tailored and personalised relationship building approach.

You will be a dynamic self-starter and a creative relationship fundraiser, who enjoys building long lasting relationships with donors and committee members. A background in direct marketing is essential, including experience with multi-channel campaigns.
