Safeguarding Officer

We are looking for a Safeguarding Officer who does.

  • Salary: £30,000 - £31,000

  • Type: Permanent, Full time

  • Location: Hammersmith, London, W6

One in five people among us, over 14 million in total across the UK, are unable to thrive because of a lack of money. Turn2us exists to help people struggling to make ends meet.

We do this by:

  • Giving direct financial help through our own charitable grants

  • Supporting people to increase their income through benefits, grants and other support

  • Highlighting ways to reduce essential costs.

Safeguarding Officer role

We’re looking for a dynamic and energetic Safeguarding Officer to be part of our fight against the poverty that is devastating lives across Britain today.

The right person will be passionate about the third sector, with a strong desire to use their knowledge in safeguarding to embed a culture of psychological safety and confidence in safeguarding for staff and volunteers.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing, in consultation with the whole organisation, a safeguarding plan in line with Turn2us Purpose and Strategy with people thriving at its heart
  • Supporting Turn2us to be compliant with Charity Commission and any other relevant, external guidelines on safeguarding
  • Working in a collaborative and confidential way to ensure that policies, systems, reporting, case management, referral mechanisms and responsibilities are robust, complete, compliant, clear and embedded in Turn2us.
