No Cold Homes

The No Cold Homes campaign ran from 2014 to 2016.

The No Cold Homes campaign promoted the support available for people who can't afford to heat their homes. We aimed to shed light on the every day realities of fuel poverty in the UK.

Statistics

As part of the campaign, we spoke to over 4,000 people who use our services. We found that:

  • 46% cut back on heating their homes because of the cost
  • 17% have cut back on food to pay energy bills
  • 14% use credit cards to pay their energy bills
  • 8% use payday loans to pay their energy bills
  • People living with a disability and people over the age of 55 are especially affected
