Project overview

Everyone's Environment is building ambitious collaborations across communities, local areas, and sectors to ensure economic justice and community voice are central to environmental action, working with key partners including Turn2us, Race Equality Foundation, Disability Rights UK and New Philanthropy Capital (NPC).

With over 14 million people currently living in poverty in the UK, including 4.5 million children, any meaningful move toward a greener future must ensure that those already marginalised are not left further behind.

At Turn2us, we know that environmental issues and financial hardship are deeply connected. Climate change disproportionately affects people on low incomes through higher energy bills, rising food costs, and poorly insulated housing.

By ensuring climate action includes economic justice, we're making sure the transition to a greener future doesn't push more families into poverty. Instead, we want everyone to benefit from environmental improvements while protecting the most at risk of poverty in our communities.

Everyone's Environment: Local

Are you already working to make your local area better? This programme connects local community groups, organisations and charities across different regions and helps them include climate and nature issues in their existing work.

If this interests you, join to get free training in advocating for the communities you serve and how to imbed climate action into your social mission and strategies. You'll directly influence policies that affect marginalised groups while making sure everyone benefits from environmental changes rather than paying the price.

Everyone's Environment: Voices

The voices programme will empower individuals to support their communities in advocacy in policy spaces and changing narratives in climate justice.

The programme aims to amplify the voices of communities most affected by climate change and nature loss, helping them shape the public and media debate, and tell their own stories.

It provides practical training in storytelling, media engagement, and policy advocacy.

By joining, participants become part of a growing network of champions working together to get community voices heard and shape the public conversation.

How to get involved
