Severe Conditions Criteria
The Severe Conditions Criteria is a benefit rule. It helps decide if someone who has a serious health condition can get extra money (LCWRA) from Universal Credit without having to go through repeated medical assessments.
You can meet the Severe Conditions Criteria if your health condition:
- means you cannot take part in work-related activities
- is constant and is unlikely to go away
- has been diagnosed by a qualified health professional and it is expected to last for the rest of your life.
