The Crisis and Resilience Fund is a scheme run by local councils in England. It is to help low-income households who are experiencing a financial shock or cannot afford essential costs.
It was introduced in April 2026 to replace the Household Support Fund, and will be rolled out across local authorities by July 2026.

What support can I get?
The help available can vary from one local council area to another because councils decide how to run their own schemes. However, support will generally include access to:
