What if I don't agree with a Crisis and Resilience Fund decision?

The Crisis and Resilience Fund can provide financial support to people in England who are on a low income or facing a crisis, including help with essential costs and housing payments.

Last reviewed 14 April 2026

If you are refused a Crisis and Resilience Fund payment, you can contact your local authority to review the decision. You should receive the new decision and an explanation in writing, or by email.

If you are unhappy with how your claim was handled, you can make a formal complaint to your local authority.

If you still think your complaint has not been handled correctly, you should contact the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman.
