What is a Work Capability Assessment?

The Work Capability Assessment involves:

  • A questionnaire for you to complete
  • A medical assessment for you to attend

It is used to decide whether your health condition or disability makes it too difficult for you to work or take part in work-related activities.

The Work Capability Assessment is for people who are claiming Universal Credit or Contributory/New Style Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
