How do I claim a Winter Heating Payment?
Most people do not need to make a claim for a Winter Heating Payment. It is usually paid automatically between December and February.
If you have to make a claim for a Winter Heating Payment, you will need to get in touch with Social Security Scotland.
Making a claim by phone
You can request a Winter Heating Payment over the phone, by calling Social Security Scotland for free:

Making a claim by post
You can make a claim by completing a request form and returning it to Social Security Scotland.
