Warm Home Discount
Pensioners who get Pension Credit can get £150 off their winter fuel bill through the Warm Home Discount scheme. If you’re eligible, your electricity supplier will apply the discount to your bill.
The Warm Home Discount scheme is now closed and will reopen in October 2026.
Pension Credit
A lot of people are entitled to Pension Credit but are not receiving it. Use our free, confidential online benefits calculator to check if you could get Pension Credit to access extra help.
Local support
Local councils throughout the UK have assistance schemes to help households that are struggling. Contact your council to see if they can help. In England this support is delivered through the Crisis and Resilience Fund.
